PINSTAMP® Marking Systems
The
PINSTAMP® process is illustrated here. A pneumatically-driven and returned
conical tipped pin permanently indents the marking surface to form either
dot matrix or continuous line characters. Since the marking pin "floats"
on constant return air pressure, surface irregularities up to 1/4" are
easily accommodated.
This "floating pin" approach eliminates the need for a pin return spring - a high-maintenance item required by other pin markers. Whether your products are made of soft plastic or hardened steel, marking impact and corresponding depth of mark can be controlled over a significant range:
- By varying the stroke (travel distance) of the marking pin
- Through simple air pressure adjustments
- By selecting impact pins of different sizes and weights
Controlling the force of the mark in various ways means that product marking can be "customized" to meet your individual requirements.
